Compliance
Each row shows what the rule requires (with the article), what RoxPos covers and what stays your responsibility.
Rules vary from country to country; below is the EU-wide allergen rule with notes for Ireland and the UK.
In the EU, Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011 requires the 14 allergens in Annex II to be declared for non-prepacked food too (Arts. 9 and 44); member states decide how. In Ireland the information must be given in writing (S.I. No. 489 of 2014). In the UK the same 14 allergens apply under the Food Information Regulations 2014.
| What the rule says | In RoxPos |
|---|---|
| The 14 allergens of Annex II (gluten, crustaceans, eggs, fish, peanuts, soy, milk, nuts, celery, mustard, sesame, sulphites, lupin, molluscs). | In RoxPos RoxPos's allergen catalogue is exactly these 14; you pick them per product and they appear as a warning in the QR menu item detail, in 8 languages. |
| The information must be available to the customer before ordering (written form depends on the country). | In RoxPos On the QR menu and, optionally, as an allergen column on the printed price list (PDF). Entering correct information and briefing staff is the venue's responsibility. |

It depends on the country. In Ireland the information must be written and available before purchase; keeping the printed price list (PDF, with the allergen column) next to the QR menu is the safest approach. Check your national authority's guidance.
No. It summarises the official texts and shows which step RoxPos makes easier; ask your accountant or legal adviser about your own obligations.
